Alyssa Martyn · Founder · Former West End Professional · Women’s Empowerment · Voice & Performance Coach
I trained in musical theatre, with a heavy emphasis on voice, singing and acting, at Guildford School of Acting, then spent six and a half years as a leading lady, in the West End and on stages around the world, in shows including West Side Story, Les Misérables, Grease and Footloose. I originated roles alongside Broadway creative teams, and if you go looking, you'll find me on Spotify on an original cast recording.
I've sung professionally across the UK, Australia and beyond, classical, pop and musical theatre alike. Singing has taken me further than I ever dreamed.
But somewhere along the way, I found something I love even more than performing: helping women find their voice.
For eighteen years I've taught singers of every age and stage, specialising in the female voice. For the past six years I've facilitated women through their healing, embodiment and voices, helping more than 700 women reconnect with theirs along the way. I founded a coaching company empowering women to speak up in business, leadership and on the public stage, and I've even coached TEDx speakers to walk out and own the room.
Here's what all of it taught me. So many women have a voice they've quietly packed away, not because they can't sing, but because life got loud and they stopped making room for the thing that once lit them up.
That's why I created these retreats: a beautiful, joyful space for women to reconnect with their creativity, their confidence, and their full, glorious voice.
No auditions. No judgement. Just you, remembering how good it feels to sing.
I can’t wait to sing with you.
